This is just my opinion, but perhaps we should just plan to be at TAG master's weight, which I believe is 390.

The only other driver I've heard who is interested is Louis DeJoseph. I think the French brothers will be focusing on FWT races through March, but they may do the first GSKA race as well. The Flowers can be counted on for a few races as well. We could have up to 6 if they all show up. May as well join the Skaggs and make it a TAG party.

But Cory, Jory, Wes, Jamie--their karts are on the market. And Brent has moved to Texas.

Hey Dr Chip

If you go to this link you can sign up for tech updates.
http://www.worldkarting.com/pg/pitboard/pitboard.php?utm_source=WKA%27s+Pit+Board+-+Feb+14%2C+2012&utm_campaign=Pitboard&utm_medium=email

CIK bodywork is legal in 2012 Gold Cup Series
02.15.2012 – WKA officials have announced the addition of CIK bodywork into the RLV Tuned Exhaust Products Gold Cup Series, effective the first event of the season, the March 1-3 Barnes Paving Nationals at 103rd Street Sports Complex in Jacksonville, Florida.

The decision came as a result of discussion by the Gold Cup Competition Committee, and unanimously endorsed by the WKA Board of Trustees.

The use of CIK style bodywork will be legal in all Gold Cup classes and must meet the criteria listed in section 200 /208 of the 2012 WKA Tech Manual.

It also must be noted that a mix of Gold Cup and CIK bodywork is legal as long as the respective pieces used follow the applicable rules for that style bodywork being used, e.g., traditional Gold Cup Nose Cone used with CIK style side pods is legal.

Attn : 2 Cycle Gold Cup Competitors : Competitors in the Gold Cup X30 Senior, X30 Junior and Komet Sportsman will be required to follow the same specs as in the Manufacturer's Cup Series specifically with regards to bodyworks, chassis, and engine specs.

Clone
Several changes have been made to the Clone engine specifications and inspection procedures. The new Clone flywheel part number BSFW-1 is now approved but not required in the Box Stock and Pure Stock classes. Aftermarket billet flywheels continue to be required in the Builder Prepared classes.

A new specification has been added to the Clone valve train. The installed height of the valve is a minimum of 0.815". Valve spring shims are now allowed.

The 0.019" specification for the low speed jet has been eliminated. However, the jet may not be drilled through to the outside of the carburetor. This will be a post-race tech inspection item.

Finally, the stock Clone rod may now be honed.
